NATURAL PROGRESSION
In September 2024 I was invited to exhibit 'Surreal City' in a group show at the Wilson Gallery in Cheltenham. A repositionable playset of handmade terracotta pieces and wooden Poleidoblocs from the 1950's, laid over playsand and covering a 24' handbuilt table, this represented the culmination of my third year undergraduate studies at the Uiversity of Gloucestershire (previously Cheltenham School of Art). Eventually, during its time at the gallery, visitors took the city to its natural and logical crescendo. like a war zone, or a city deserted for a thousand years, buildings were tumbled and sand was scattered to the wind.
